I finally started P90X again, this time I’m going to try my best to stick with it. I know it is an awesome program, the only thing missing last time was my motivation and a vacation and holidays in the middle…those all led to me getting off track!

I did not do KenpoX on Friday! I know, I know…I am only hurting myself. I was unable to get a workout in on Saturday either, so on Sunday I got back on the wagon and in the morning I decided to take a run. I ran for about 40 minutes. In the pm I completed the start of week 3 with chest and back from p90x. I don’t want to workout out tonight – tonight is plyo, but I’m going to. I just feel so tired.

I’ve decided to NOT do yoga x on Wednesday’s as I’d planned. The yoga x feels anti-yoga, it’s not relaxing at all, and it drags and drags. Last time I did it I was thinking “If I have to do one more downward dog I’m going to scream!” I actually missed any type of workout yesterday evening and since we walked all over with the kids for Halloween, I figured it would be okay.
Instead of the yoga x I’m going to run on Wednesdays again. Maybe not for the entire duration of the program, but at least for the next couple weeks before the Turkey Trot. I have to run a bit or I’ll have a really hard time on November 17th running with the folks from work.
Back to tonight’s workout….I love the legs portion of the workout. It is very different from what I’m used to…which is heavy barbell + squat rack and lower reps, so this high rep and no/low weights is nice and challenging. I think it is great since my legs have a tendency to bulk up. Also, the intensity of the workout is great, I am sweating the entire workout.
The pull-ups…I do them, but I think I hate them.
On to Ab Ripper X – Does it ever get easier? Sometimes after these 58 minute workouts the last thing I want to do is do ab ripper x, for another 16 minutes, but I make myself do it. I still have to modify some of the exercises and I hate those froggie things!
I really do love the program so far and today I weighed myself for the week and I’ve lost 2.4 lbs – well that was before I ate Halloween candy tonight, so now it is probably like 1.8 lbs.

Kill me now! I’m going to be so sore. I really focused this workout, I used appropriate weight…starting heavier and getting a lighter weight to finish the set. I kept the reps around 13-16 as well. I also filled out my sheet for the workout that has all the reps and weights used. When I have more than 1 week written down I’ll post it up for comparison.
I have a cold and did not want to do this workout at all! I feel so much better now that I’m done though. Funny how that works.
I have all day meetings tomorrow at work and a “working lunch”…so who knows what kind of crap they will bring in for lunch. I’ll have to remember to pack something.

I think I am back on track and have been on a good diet for two entire days now…sarcasm intended.
Sunday I completed my regular P90X workout (chest and back). I am happy that I am getting better with push-ups, but I’m not sure that I’ll ever have a proper pull-up bar…so who knows?
Last night I did Plyo X and I hate it … but I love it. If I had to do one more froggy squat scoot thing I was going to scream!

I am disappointed in myself this week. I ended up missing Friday’s Kenpo, so I did it on Saturday instead. Today I started my second week of P90X and completed the Chest and Back routine.
My diet this week was horrendous, I mean like really bad….really really bad.
My pictures after week 1 – no change, actually I probably weigh nore because I ate so badly for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday…sheesh, that is most of the week!
Tomorrow is a new week and a new day!

Yesterday I completed day 5, legs and back. I was happy with this workout, it was tough. Working my legs without weight is different for me, I really liked all of the different types of lunges and felt that not only did I get an awesome leg and glutes workout, but that the pace of the workout kept my heart rate up and that equals burning more calories…and that is what I like babay!
I really liked the wall squats and the one-legged wall squats…I liked them, but hated them at the same time.
Abs went way better than the 2nd session, I am improving and that is motivating. The first workout I was able to do all the ab exercises, but since then I’ve struggled…mostly because I am so sore still. Yesterday though was better than the session before so I was pleased.
Tonight is KenpoX – so we shall see. I’ll keep my bizatches posted.

Not feeling the yoga. 1 hour and 38 minutes? I did like 45 minutes and I am done. I’ll have to work my way up, yoga is boring….very boring. This yoga x just doesn’t do it for me, it was not relaxing like other yoga tapes I’ve done. Hopefully it will be a better experience next time.

I am so sore from day 1 and day 2 that just doing the stretching for this workout hurt! My hip flexors are so sore and my lower back is tight, it is painful. I guess a good pain, but still pain. I made it through Day 3 – tonight was Arms and Shoulders + ab ripper x again. I did somewhat modify the abs because my abs are still killing me from Sunday! Ouch! I feel all swollen, which is not the goal I am really aiming for, but I think that is just because I am so sore. We shall see. So far, I still think these workouts are great because they are kicking my hiney!
